For weeks and weeks we wondered where the snow was hiding. But to catch up its absence this winter, snow came with the bang of a blizzard last weekend. With the last snowflake falling from the sky, we went straight to the place-to-be when Mother Nature transforms our city into an ineffable dazzling winterwonderland: Central Park.
This kind of weather fulfills my love for big sweaters and big coats. I love blizzard looks where we must wear these big but comfy items. The only thing is, you have to compensate all the extra layers. Meaning; go for fitted wear for the lower body. So for our wonderland walk at the park, I grabbed my sherling (biggest coat I own), my navy Alpaca sweater, this ripped skinny and my blizzard boots matching the whole ensemble. And to be honest, these boots are not only warm and comfy but also have shaken off the image of ‘what not to wear’. Of course, I would be lying to say I’d wear them to a night out with the girls drinking fancy drinks. But when it comes down to daily wear, the boot is absolutely back in business. New York is embracing the Chestnut Classic once more, keeping all our feet super warm and stylish. Even when the biggest blizzard of the century happened.
