My momma was in town this weekend and we decided that deserved something festive. And a woman’s festive is also known as crazy ridiculous amounts of sugar somewhere cute combined with cappuccinos and strawberries. For those kinds of occasions, one should always go to Maison Kayser. And so we did.
Armed with my feather fedora and refound animal printed coat – can not believe fall is already starting – to conquer the fresh but chilly breeze, we walked to this place just around the corner from where I live. Practically underneath the Flatiron building you can find: Paris pastries, best coffee and crazy tasteful bread. Their interior is Frenchy and you could say only the Eiffel Tower is missing, but hey…grab a table at Maison K.’s terrace and you get the Empire State building instead!
I totally love this spot and it was one of the first places I discovered when I just got here. And now – almost a year later – Im still here. Shivering in winter, melting in summer and celebrating in fall. Time just flies….
Hope you like it, don’t hesitate to leave a comment, have a great day and…keep on following this journey
p.s.: Oh, and don’t get me wrong: besides ‘viennoice chocolat noir’, ‘brioche pralines’ , ‘plié au chocolat’, ‘financiers framboise’ and other sugar-i-love-you-items, they also have more muscular dishes like eggs with cheese, asparagus and so on. Great place to bring your boyfriend, or maybe better; he takes you.
