BROOKLYN BRIDGE AND WHEN CROSSED

Whether you’re visiting or living on the island….we shall always go to Brooklyn. It’s grungy, it’s creative, it’s a whole different world from Manhattan you must definitely experience.

From my point of view, a perfect day in Brooklyn starts at Williamsburg. Take the train or grab bike and cross Brooklyn Bridge with one destination: Bedfordstreet. Go around 10-ish, after breakfast with lots of time to shop&see before – and off course after – lunch. When arrived, there are three boxes to tick:

 1.

Wander down Bedfordstreet, take some side streets and shop in the coolest stores. I personally prefer doing my fashion groceries in Williamsburg because it’s less expensive and more creative. My favorite Bedford’ stores will be online soon btw.

 2.

If you’re feet need some rest and you’re stomach growls, stop at Juliette. Great food, great environment. Think: indoor garden, frenchy red stools and awesome apple galette to fulfil your sugar crave.

 3.

At the end of the day, around 5, set course for the Wythe Hotel. It has a cool bar, a cool restaurant, but an even cooler rooftop: The Ides.  Step out of the elevator and enter a Great Gatsby scenery. Leonardo di C. is not attending, but a beardy-hipster-fedora-man will absolutely be sitting at the bar waiting to be checked out by beard loving ladies. The bartender – pouring awesome champagne cocktails- told me it’s best to come and see the sunset on Sundays. Visit when the sky is clear to perceive the magical skyline of New York. While sipping a drink, or two..or three…

have a great day!
