Ice cold baby

After London Fashion Week, a few days with fam&friends in Amsterdam and a 7+ hours flight, I’m finally back home. New York welcomed me with snow on the airstrip, perfectly fitting her ice cold attitude from these last couple of months.

This weather is forcing us New York citizens, to layer and knit things up constantly. And, a bit reluctantly while longing for spring, I did. To build a layer-look, pick a key item first. In this case the dress is the key-item. This Pinkyotto knitted dress is warm, comfy and dark blue: the color also known as the new black this season.

The second step is adding items and accessories. I think dresses like this go amazingly well with midi skirts (like I did this LFW which will be online soon) or ripped jeans. Btw, when it comes down to layering: be modest with colors. Use two matching colors tops and maybe add some contrast tones in details to spice things up. I went for black and blue in different fabrics with a little feather and a little fur while hoping to replace all these layers with flowy dresses and light cotton T’s….Did I already mention I’m longing for spring?!

don’t hesitate to tell me what you think!
