on sunday, we brunch
That’s one of NY’s finest habits, we’ve been very happy to adapt to. Most of the times we like to keep it Dutch, meaning: simple modest brunch including some eggs, some juice and (of course) some coffee. So brunch is quite the ‘same old, same old’. With one continuous difference: always another place.
This Sunday, we decided to go somewhere new but somewhere chic: The Gramercy Park Hotel. This hotel has a great bar btw (Rose Bar) but also has a highly reviewed restaurant with an Italian menu (our favorite) and apparently a place to see some celebs in the wild. We spotted from Willa Holland from Gossip Girl and Arrow this Sunday. Didn’t really freak me out, but it’s one to put on the list ; )
We had a proper Mimosa (champagne with orange jus) lunch with black truffle pasta, duck liver and a yummie sandwich. I really recommend this place. Plus, fun fact: the Gramercy Park is the actual park from the movie That Awkward Moment. And. It’s true! This is a private park and only a few owners of surrounded apartments get the opportunity to enter it with a private key. Also, Karl Lagerfeld bought an apartment here, one where he never moved in. What a spoiled brat….
But to add a little fashion to the occasion (besides the Karl fact) I went for Cowboy Smoking this brunch. This denim-on-denim has never really left the trend-stage, but since I can’t get around all the denim (magazines, on our streets and all over the social webster) I see..I got inspired to take a trip back to memory lane and added some denim to my ripped jeans.
Either you can go super casual with this look by wearing it with sneakers or you kan chic it up with – in my case: blue suede – heeled shoes. Love this all over blue trend!Hate that t-word btw….Anyhow:
love to denim it double
