It’s been a while since I’ve posted some (from my opinion) cool-cooler-coolest places located on our little island called Manhattan. The posting flow in general wasn’t actually this flowy the last couple of months. I blame the winter weather and it’s baby depression it caused me. But, the sun is back, spring is coming and the posting is totally going to be on track again. Period!
To start of my spring resolutions, I wanted to share my favorite places to indulge yourself with the well-needed daily dose of caffeine. Some of these already have been featured on S.o.B, but I always say: once its really fabulous, it stays fabulous. So, here is my top 5 spots for rebellious or super chic caffeine. (for all you on the tea-side: they also serve these kind of leaves in water…;)
This spot is awarded as most photogenic coffee cafe in the city. And..it is true! Great coffee due to great bones and guaranteed a gazillion likes on instagram..what does a gal need more?! This spot can be found in little Italy and will definitely lead to your bones being more than happy!
If you’re grumpy and you know it…grab a grumpy coffee. Grump Cafes are always overcrowded and even though I hate standing in line, in Manhattan: annoying waiting means you’re where the good stuff can be found. With several locations throughout the city, it can not be doubted this grumpy face is making people super happy on the coffee field.
Gansevoort Market is the smaller but more exclusive version of Chelsea Market. It’s actually like a huge food court alternated for the crowd walking on Louboutin sneakers. So do not bring any foodcoupons and don’t be surprised to pay 20 bucks for a simple sandwich…Nevertheless, it’s cool to explore the stuf they sell. Tiger nuts, real roses headbands and weird but healthy drinks. So buy a affordable slice of pizza and wander around. You’ll love it! Oh and, coffee is great! Best take-away in Meatpacking!
The Mandarin Hotel means coffee with a killer Central Park view. Absolutely the location for some dandy oriental chicness and the perfect place for a romantic late brunch with your boo. Imagine: blue skies, rays of sun warming up our crazy beautiful park while you overlook everything from the 30th-or-something floor and sit at these larger-than-life windows nipping a mimosa with your handsome man on the other side of the table…..Would be what I want for shizzle…so…are you reading this BF?!
Co-owner of this Soho cafe is a Michelin star chef, meaning: not only delicious coffee, but also delicious food. Personally, I love their porcelain bunnies and somehow the wooden furniture at their seating section in the back, reminds me of the cozy cafes we have in Amsterdam. So obviously, I really like this place
Any other cool places you know? Don’t hesitate to tell me in the comment section. Have a great day you!
